Our local dance community is saddened by the sudden death of Edmond, who died just after a swing dance at 301 Club about 9:15 last Friday night.
He was in the midst of people celebrating life and the joy of movement, where he has been a regular ballroom dancer for years.
Few of us have the honor of dying in a church, very few indeed, and we will no doubt remember him the rest of our own lives in this realm.
Lift up your hearts and spirits in special prayer for his family and friends, especially Danielle, his close friend and partner on the dance floor last week.

KELLEY, Edmond Henry, Jr., 64, a resident of Deatsville died March 6, 2009. Graveside services will be Tuesday, March 10, 2009 at Carville Cemetery with Reverend Charles Wise officiating. Mr. Kelley was a retired Lieutenant with the Montgomery Fire Department and a member of Frazer Memorial United Methodist Church. He is preceded in death by his son Ronald Kelley, parents Edmond and Monteze Kelley and a brother Charles Kelley. Survivors include daughter Deborah Ward, brother James Harold Kelley, granddaughter Monica Clay and two great grandchildren Aaliyah Rapier and Tyler Clay. Pallbearers will be Troy Aadson and the Montgomery Fire Department. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Frazer United Methodist Church. Leak-Memory Chapel Directing.
